| The February meeting of Edmund Taylor Royal Ark Mariner Lodge No 296 saw an Elevation ceremony with the candidate Bro Vincent Carte, a member of Bispham with Norbreck Lodge MMM. |
| The Lodge was opened at 7 pm and this was followed by a eulogy for W. Bro. Bill Ainsworth PCN Prov RAMGR who had been called to higher service on December 31st 2021. |
| The Worshipful Commander Bro Patrick Dwyer undertook the ceremony, assisted by W. Bro. Brian Ogden who explained the signs of the degree. The Senior Deacon Bro Barry Shaw conducted the candidate in due form with stand in Senior Warden, W. Bro. Ernie Gavan RAMGR explaining the steps. W. Bro Gavan stood in at short notice due to the regular Senior Warden Bro Bob Bennet having tested positive for Covid. |
| Missing also for the same reason was Special Representative W. Bro John Forster RAMGR W. Bro Eric Pickton Prov RAMGR also became a joining member on the night bringing the total membership up to 32. |
| 24 members sat down to the festive board following the Lodge business. |
| A good evening of first class Royal Ark Mariner Masonry enjoyed by all present. |
